SOLID WOOD LIPPINGS

All the lippings we produce are manufactured from superior quality hardwoods which ensures that they are of the highest quality and defect free. In addition all lips are sawn which prevents chip-outs on any wild grain and both faces have a sanded finish.

Thicknesses are produced to a tolerance of +/-0.1mm so there is no need to re-machine panels and doors to size after lipping. Widths are also to the same tolerance but can be adjusted to suit customers preference to the amount of trim-off which suits their lipping machines.

Our standard thicknesses are 3mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm and standard widths are 22mm, 28mm, 34mm, 42mm, 49mm and 59mm. However both can be varied to suit customers requirements, for example 50mm can be supplied when exposed lips are required and 48mm when over veneering lips.

Lengths are dictated by the timber stocks available which are normally 2.45m, 2.75m and 3.05m. We do try and secure 2.15m stock to service the standard door heights but this is subject to availability from our suppliers.

We are FSC® certified and can supply FSC Mix 70% lipping when the solid is available.
